Our wood signs are made one at a time in our shop just outside of Nashville, TN.
Each begins with a rough slab of kiln-dried hardwood. After several passes through the planner to achieve the proper thickness, the finished lumber is dimensionally cut to width and length. A router is used to create the keyhole on the back. This is used for hanging the wood sign. We then give each piece a preliminary sanding before it moves to the printing area. Once the image has been sublimated into the surface of the wood sign, it is hand sanded and quality checked.
For the final step in the process, a branding iron heated to 800 degrees permanently burns our logo into the back of you finished sign.
